The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a big decision regarding IPL. The board has announced the dates of the next three IPL seasons. IPL 2025 will start from March 14 while the final match will be played on May 25. The 2026 season will be played between March 15 and May 31, while the 2027 season will be played between March 14 and May 30.
According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, the board has informed all the franchises through email about the dates of the next three seasons of IPL. It is being speculated that this will be the final date and BCCI will soon present official information regarding this to everyone.
Let us tell you that earlier the fans had to wait for the IPL dates till a few days before the start of the season, but this time BCCI has taken a big step and announced the dates almost four months in advance. ICC will benefit from this announcement in making the schedule of international matches.
Joffra Archer will be seen in the mega auction of IPL 2025
Meanwhile, BCCI has confirmed the availability of Joffra Archer for this season. Apart from IPL 2025, Archer has also made himself available for the next two seasons, due to which he has got a place in the auction after being shortlisted in the IPL auction list.
BCCI has not revealed his base price, but it is believed that Archer will be in the bracket of Rs 2 crore only. Apart from them, Saurabh Netrawalkar of America and Hardik Tamor of Mumbai have also been added to the auction list. Now a total of 577 players will participate in the auction instead of 574.
Players from South Africa, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will be fully available, while the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has sent the names of 13 players with varying availability for the next three seasons.
