Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can talk to lift the ban on the ban on the ball in this season of IPL. This decision can be taken during the IPL starting from 22 March. Need for consent from captains
The photoshoot of the captains of IPL teams is going to be held in Mumbai on March 20. Meanwhile, the BCCI will discuss this proposal. If the captains agree on this, the bowlers can get permission to apply saliva in the IPL season.
Saliva can be helpful for bowlers
A senior BCCI official told PTI, “It was common to have saliva on the ball before Corona. Now there is no danger of corona, so it is not wrong to remove the ban on it in the IPL. We understand that the saliva helps bowlers both red balls and white balls in cricket.”
Players support
India’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami and Vernon Philander of South Africa also stated the need to put saliva on the ball. Tim Southee of New Zealand also supported the idea. He says that if saliva is not allowed on the ball, then the game will go completely in favor of the batsmen.
