Delhi: Rajasthan Royals (RR) has strongly objected to the match fixing allegations made by Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) Ed-Hawk Committee convenor Jaideep Bihani. The team wrote in a strict letter that such statements not only tarnish the image of the team, but also harm the dignity of sports like the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) and cricket.
It has been written in the letter of Rajasthan Royals that there is no evidence behind these statements and they have been given only to arise unnecessary controversies. These statements are against Royals, Royal Multi Sport Private Limited, Rajasthan Sports Council, BCCI and entire cricket.
BCCI dismisses allegations
In fact, BJP MLA from Sriganganagar and RCA convenor Jaideep Bihani recently said that Rajasthan’s match was fixed by two runs against Lucknow Super Gynts (LSG). However, a senior BCCI official has rejected these allegations outright. The official said that all this is being done in view of the upcoming elections of RCA.
According to the BCCI official, RCA is dissolved at this time and an ad-hoc committee has been formed. In such a situation, many people want to come in the headlines before the election. He said that BCCI’s anti-corruption unit is 24 × 7 active and there is no truth in such allegations.
Rajasthan Royals believe that this dispute has started due to the low number of tickets to RCA. Earlier RCA used to get around 1800 tickets for every domestic match, but this time this number has been reduced to 1000-1200. A similar dispute over tickets took place some time ago between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Hyderabad Cricket Association.
Significantly, the next match of Rajasthan Royals will be against Royal Challengers Bangalore, which is a good match. The next domestic match of the team is against the Gujarat Titans on 28 April.
