A big news related to the historic M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is coming out. Let us know that recently, the Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) has stopped the power supply to M Chinnaswamy Stadium after the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) was not satisfied with compliance with the Agni Safety Rules.

The decision was taken by the power supply company when the Director General of the Department of Fire and Emergency Service directed Bescom to cut power due to security concerns. Let us know that the Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is the home ground of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, is now dependent on the backup generator for electricity.

The officer gave a big statement

Let us know that an official quoted the Times of India to stop the power supply of M Chinnaswamy Stadium- On the basis of the recommendation of the Director General, we gave notice to KSCA in the second week of June and cut power for three days.

So at the same time, the Karnataka High Court had earlier reprimanded Bescom for the stadium management for continuing the power supply to the stadium for violation of fire safety guidelines. But later the KSCA filed a petition, after which the company has taken the decision after hearing.

Regarding the hearing of the said case, Justice S Sunil Dutt Yadav expressed strong objection to these mistakes and said- If the fire safety norms are not followed, the stadium will remain in the dark. We cannot afford to risk another disaster.

Significantly, after winning the trophy of IPL 2025, a large number of fans were present outside the stadium during the Victory Celebration on 4 June. During this time, 11 people died due to stampede, while more than 50 people were injured. But now there is no such accident, the High Court and Basacom have taken this decision.
