Delhi: Legends League Cricket (LLC 2025) The league has started in Lucknow. 12 teams are participating in this largest tennis ball cricket league of Uttar Pradesh, and all the matches are being played at KD Singh Babu Stadium.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak attended the inauguration ceremony of the tournament. Former Australian veteran fast bowler Brett Lee and West Indies explosive batsman Chris Gayle were also present on the occasion.
In a special conversation with Amar Ujala, Brett Lee described this league as a great opportunity for the youth. He said that when he was young, he used to play tennis ball cricket, but then there were no such leagues. With this tournament, the players will get a big platform to show their talent.
On the increasing influence of tennis ball cricket, Brett Lee said that it is a new direction tournament in the cricket world. Players of 12 teams will enter the field to show their talent and this can prove to be an important step for them.
The former veteran fast bowler said that he would advise the players to enjoy cricket and share his experiences with them. He told that most of the players participating in the tournament are very excited and want to take full advantage of this big stage. Apart from this, when asked questions on the ICC Champions 2025 Trophy, Brett Lee greeted all the teams.
Significantly, Brett Lee made a Test debut against India in 1999, while the ODI career started against Pakistan in 2000. In T20, he made his debut against New Zealand in 2005.
In his career, Lee has taken 310 wickets in 76 Tests, 380 in 221 ODIs and 28 wickets in 25 T20s. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Lee represented Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where he took 25 wickets in 38 matches. His best performance was 3 wickets for 15 runs.
