Delhi: England opener Ben Docket recently defended her comment on Jaspreet Bumrah and then deactivated her X account (East Twitter). Docket had said in an interview that he has faced Bumrah before, so he knows what this fast bowler can do. For this reason, he would not be surprised by Bumrah during the five -match Test series between England and India.
Experience against Bumrah
Dack In an interview to the Daily Mail, he said, “I have faced Bumrah in the first five Test series. I know what he can do to me and it is good that I know his bowling skills.” He also said that Bumrah’s bowling will not make him any shocking thing. Along with this, Docket also praised Mohammed Shami and said that Shami’s red-ball skills are as dangerous as Bumrah.
Dacoit rescue
Docket defended his comment, saying that he never said that he would play well against Bumrah. He advised an X user to read the article first, then comment. Subsequently, Docket’s account was deactivated and screenshots of his reactions went viral on social media.
Indication of challenging series against India
During England’s visit to India last year, Docket was dismissed by Bumrah once. India won 4–1 and Bumrah played an important role with 19 wickets. Docket also said that it is difficult to defeat India in his house, but when India plays abroad, it is possible to defeat them.
Docket said “India is separated at home and is not as strong as playing abroad. I think it is worth winning the series and we can win it.”
