Delhi: Team India’s legendary fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has won the number 1 crown in the latest ICC Test rankings by defeating two great bowlers. In the rankings released on Wednesday, Bumrah left South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and Australia’s Josh Hazlewood behind.
India’s Sir Don Bradman did not find any buyer, remained empty handed
In the ranking of Test bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah has secured the first position with 883 rating points. After him, Kagiso Rabada is at second position with 872 rating points, Josh Hazlewood is at third position with 860 rating points, Ravichandran Ashwin is at fourth position, while Ravindra Jadeja is at seventh position.
Bumrah regained the number 1 position in 27 days
Bumrah had lost his number 1 ranking on October 30, which was achieved by Kagiso Rabada, but within 27 days, Bumrah made a spectacular comeback and again occupied the top position.
In the Perth Test against Australia, Bumrah took a total of 8 wickets, which included 5 wickets in the first innings. Thanks to his lethal bowling, Team India made a brilliant comeback in the match even after being reduced to 150 runs and defeated the Kangaroos by 295 runs.
Difficult to remove Bumrah from number 1
Looking at Bumrah’s current form, experts believe that it is very difficult to remove him from the number 1 position. There are still 4 Tests left in this series against Australia and if Bumrah continues to play in this manner, his top position will remain intact.
