Delhi: There are new talks happening every day about where the Champions Trophy 2025 will take place. On one hand, India has clearly refused to go to Pakistan. On the other hand, Pakistan Cricket Board has refused to give consent for the hybrid model. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has given his reaction on India’s refusal and ICC’s problems increasing.

IPL 2025: Not Rinku Singh and Rahane, this player will become the new captain of KKR

Pakistan has come to India 5 times after 26/11

Afridi criticized the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for “mixing politics with sports” and urged the ICC to “maintain impartiality and assert its authority”.
The former captain wrote, “By mixing politics with sports, BCCI has put international cricket in a precarious position. I fully support the PCB’s stance against the hybrid model – especially since 26/11 Pakistan (despite security concerns) has toured India five times, including bilateral ODI series. “Now is the time for the ICC and its Board of Directors to maintain impartiality and assert their authority.”

The Champions Trophy is to be organized in three cities of Pakistan in February and March next year. But India, which has not toured Pakistan since 2008, told the ICC earlier this month that its government had not given them permission to travel to Pakistan for the event.
