Delhi: Team India won 3-1 in the recently concluded four-match T20 series between India and South Africa. However, during the last match of this series played on 15 November, an incident came into limelight. South Africa’s fast bowling all-rounder Gerald Coetzee expressed his displeasure at the umpire’s decision and made inappropriate remarks, due to which the ICC has taken a strict stance. The right-arm bowler has admitted his mistake and accepted the punishment given by match referee Andy Pycroft. Due to this, there was no need for formal hearing of the case. It is noteworthy that these allegations against Coetzee were made by umpires Allahuddin Palekar, Stephen Harris, third umpire Lubabalo Gakuma and fourth umpire Arno Jacobs.
