Delhi: The Emerging Player of the Year Award in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is given to young cricketers who show extraordinary talent and ability. There have been many changes in the name of this award in the last few years. In 2008, it was called “Best Under-19 Player”, then in 2009 “Best Under-23 Player” and then “Under-23 Success of the Tournament” in 2010.

In 2011 and 2012 it was called the “Rising Star of the Year” and in 2013 it was made “Best Young Player of the season”. Since 2014, this award has been continuously called “Emerging Player of the Year”.
