Delhi: Cricket South Africa (CSA) has released a new central contract list of male players for the 2025/26 season. Many regular players have been given place in this list, but a big name that is missing is of veteran wicketkeeper batsman Henrik Klassen. However, CSA has clarified that the conversation is still going on about Klassen’s contract and a final decision will be taken soon.
The CSA has given national contracts to a total of 18 players, including Tempa Bavuma, Marco Yansen, Keshav Maharaj, Aden Markram, Lungi AngD and Kagiso Rabada. Lisad Williams, Senuran Muthusamy and young fast bowler Qaina Mafaka have been included in the contract list for the first time.
David Miller on Hybrid Contract and Van Der Dusen
David Miller and Rasi Van Der Dusen have been given a hybrid contract. This means that these players will be selected for special bilateral series and ICC tournaments. Anok Encway, the national team and director of high performance, said, “Hybrid contracts have been prepared keeping in mind the changing appearance of modern cricket, so that David and Rasi can contribute to the team on special occasions.”

Vian Mulder, David Bedinagham and Kyle Verrain won the contract upgrade by performing brilliantly in the current season and have been maintained for 2025/26.
South Africa’s busy schedule
The upcoming season of Protiaz consists of two major ICC tournaments – ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia at Lord’s (England) in June and T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka in early 2026. Apart from this, the team will visit Zimbabwe, Australia, England, Pakistan and India, as well as host the West Indies.
