Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) has brought relief news for all franchises playing in 2025. The South Africa Cricket Board (CSA) has changed the schedule of preparations for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. Now the South African team will start training from June 3, so many veteran players will be available to their respective teams in the last phase of IPL.

Talking to Sydney Morning Herald, CSA cricket director Inocway said, “The team will now start training for the final from June 3. This decision has been taken from me at the top, so that we can pay better attention to the preparation of the WTC final.”

IPL teams will benefit greatly from this decision, especially when the tournament is going to start again from May 17. Significantly, the IPL was postponed for a week due to tension on the India-Pakistan border. Now that the South African players do not return before the last date, they will be able to participate in decisive matches like the tournament playoffs and finals.

There are a total of 8 players in the South African team selected for the WTC final, which are part of different teams in IPL 2025:

-Kagiso Rabada (Gujarat Titans)

-Lungi Angidi (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

-Tiston Stabs (Delhi Capitals)

-Adon Markram (Lucknow Super Giants)

-Noan Ricelton (Mumbai Indians)

-Corbin Bosch (Mumbai Indians)

-Mco Yansen (Punjab Kings)

-Vian Mulder (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
