Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) has suffered a major setback to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2025. Team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad will no longer be able to play in the remaining matches this season as he is hurt in the elbow. Initially, this injury was mild but now it has become a hairline fracture. For this reason, he has to be out of the entire tournament.
After being out of Ruturaj, CSK has again handed over the captaincy to Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Now Dhoni will lead the team in the remaining matches.
After this decision, CSK shared a video on social media, in which Ruturaj spoke on his injury and greeted the team for the remaining season.
However, on the very next day of this announcement, a video is going viral on social media in which CSK captains are seen playing football with their team players. Fans are surprised to see this video and many people are questioning how they are playing in the field when they are Inzard. Some fans believe that they are fit and it is an excuse to exclude them.

CSK’s disappointing performance
CSK started well this season and defeated his arch rival in his first match. But, after that the team’s performance fell and lost four consecutive matches. Currently, Chennai Points is at ninth position in the table.
Now Chennai’s team will play their sixth match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) today, on 11 April. The match will be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
