Date of Asia Cup 2025 fixed: 6 teams, not 8, will participate.

Delhi: Big information has been revealed about the Asia Cup 2025. Now this tournament will be played from 8 to 28 September. Earlier, its possible date was being told 10 September. But, now the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has approved it. The tournament will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This decision came to light when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) agreed to attend the ACC meeting in Dhaka on July 24 after the first protest. Prior to this meeting, BCCI warned that if the location is not changed, it will not participate in the meeting and no decision will be accepted.

8 teams will play in Asia Cup 2025

Total in Asia Cup of 2025 8 teams Will participate India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be present in the tournament as permanent member teams. In addition to these UAE, Hong Kong and Oman Will also qualify through the ACC Premier Cup and become part of the tournament.

Policy clear about India-Pakistan match

There has been a tension between BCCI and PCB for some time. In such a situation, it has been decided that the teams of India and Pakistan will not go to each other’s country and play matches. This policy will also be applicable in the Asia Cup 2025. The tournament will be played in group stage and Super-4 format.

India won the previous Asia Cup

The 2023 Asia Cup was played in the hosting of Pakistan. However, India refused to go to Pakistan for security reasons. Then India played all its matches in Sri Lanka. The final of this tournament was played in Colombo, in which India won the title by defeating Sri Lanka.

Now India-Pakistan collision will be seen once again, but on neutral venue. Asia Cup 2025 is now going to be a big thrill for cricket fans.
