Rohit Sharma can retire
According to some reports, Rohit Sharma may announce his retirement from Test cricket after the Border Gavaskar Trophy. A PTI report says that it is possible that Rohit may take a major decision in this regard after the series is over. At the same time, Indian cricket team’s Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar is also present in Melbourne, and it is believed that he can talk to Rohit regarding his future.
Series tied at 1-1
Border Gavaskar Trophy is currently tied at 1-1. India won the first test, while Australia defeated the Indian team in the second match. The third test played at Gabba was a draw. Now the next two Test matches are very important for India, especially if they fail to reach the final of the World Test Championship, then Rohit’s retirement from Test cricket could be a possible option.
Rohit changed the batting order
In this match, the Indian team has made a change in its playing eleven. Washington Sundar was included in the team in place of Gill. Apart from this, Rohit Sharma also changed the batting order. Rohit, who used to bat at number 6 in the first two Test matches, came to open in the Melbourne Test. Whereas, KL Rahul was sent at number 3. However, both the batsmen failed despite this change. Rohit Sharma also got out early while opening, while KL Rahul was out after scoring 24 runs in 42 balls.
