Delhi: Former cricketer and father of Yuvraj Singh, Yograj Singh has supported the selection of the Indian team selected for the Champions Trophy 2025. In an interview, he described the role of senior players in the team as important and said that even though Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been in poor form for some time, their presence in the team is very important. If such experienced players are dropped, the balance of the team may deteriorate.
Praise for BCCI and selectors
Yograj congratulated BCCI and selectors for the good selection. He said, “I praise the BCCI and the selectors for supporting the team in the right way. The decision to drop players like Rohit and Virat from the team is not right. “Even though we may have faced defeat in Australia, we should not forget that we had defeated them in the first two Test series.”
