Delhi: The 9th match of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 (ICC Champions Trophy 2025) was to be played on Thursday (February 27) at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium between Pakistan and Bangladesh, but the toss could not be fixed on time due to bad weather. There is also a threat of rain on this match, due to which the disappointing campaign of both teams can end without playing.
Earlier, on Tuesday, the match between Australia and South Africa on the same ground was canceled without a toss due to continuous rains. According to the weather forecast, the situation is likely to remain similar on Thursday.
Kamran Ghulam, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Hasnain and Usman Khan have not got a chance to play in Pakistan’s team. Since this match will not have any significant impact on the tournament, Pakistan can consider giving them a chance.
At the same time, this match can prove to be the last ODI in the ICC tournament for Bangladesh’s experienced players Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah. The team management can prepare for the next ICC ODI tournament by giving them a chance to new players in the near future.
It is known that Pakistan and Bangladesh have already been out of the Moujoda tournament, so this match is just a formality for both teams.
