Delhi: The Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings were played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The match started about two and a half hours late due to rain. As soon as the weather cleared, Bangalore’s team landed on the field to bat, but their condition deteriorated from the beginning.

RCB has lost a total of 46 matches at the Chinnaswamy Stadium so far, which is the highest defeat of any team on any one ground. Earlier this record was in the name of Delhi Capitals, who lost 45 matches at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first, who went in favor of the team. Arshdeep Singh dismissed Phil Salt in the first over, and Kohli also returned to the pavilion in the next over. The Punjab Kings team, chasing the target, took the match in 12.1 overs. Star batsman Nehal Wadhera won the team by scoring a brilliant 33 runs. Punjab won the match by 5 wickets.

Third consecutive defeat on home ground

With this defeat, RCB lost the third consecutive match at its home ground in IPL 2025. Earlier, Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans also defeated him at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
