Delhi: The sessions court had stayed the lower court’s decision to acquit Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir in a fraud case. Now Delhi High Court has stayed this decision of the sessions court. The bench of Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri has issued notice in this case and postponed the next hearing.

Gambhir has challenged the decision of the sessions court. Special Judge Vishal Gogane of Rouse Avenue Court had given a new verdict against Gambhir on October 29. This matter is related to real estate companies Rudra Buildwell, HR Infracity and UM Architects.

Allegations of cheating flat buyers

These companies and their directors are accused of cheating flat buyers. The court says that the allegations against Gambhir are serious and his role should be investigated. The special judge said in his order that Gambhir was the only person who had direct contact with the investors. He was also the brand ambassador of Rudra Buildwell Company.

The order also said that the magistrate court did not make it clear that Gambhir had received Rs 4.85 crore from the company and he had paid Rs 6 crore.

Gambhir’s Australia tour

Gambhir’s Australia tour was not good. India has suffered a 1-3 defeat in the five-match Test series. After this defeat, questions are being raised on Gautam Gambhir’s coaching. Cricket legends have criticized many of his decisions.
