Delhi: Indian cricket team veteran batsman Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket on Monday. He shared this information on his social media account. Kohli’s decision is being discussed everywhere.
Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, DGMO of the Indian Army also reacted to this during the press briefing. He said that Virat Kohli is his favorite player like many Indians.
DGMO praises Virat
Rajiv Ghai said that “When I was in school, the Ashes series between England and Australia was going on in the 1970s. At that time there were two deadly bowlers of Australia- Jeff Thomson and Dennis Lily. He had completely scattered England’s batting. At that time there was a saying- a saying- an ash and dust from ash, dust, if he could not do it, then it will surely do it.”
He further said, “Today when Virat Kohli has retired from Test cricket, I remembered that period. Virat has always been inspiring. The way he led the Indian team and contributed to the game, it is a commendable praise.”
