Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been out of the playoff race under the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) MS Dhoni in the 2025 season. However, the team has tried to give some new players a chance in mid-season trials. Gujarat wicketkeeper batsman Urvil Patel, who joined these trials, is known for making the fastest T20 century in Indian cricket.
These trials held in Chennai on 27 and 28 April included two more players along with Urvil Patel, Mumbai all -rounder Aman Khan and Kerala batsman Salman Nizar.

Urvil Patel impressed everyone with his strong batting during the trial. In the first innings, he scored 41 runs in just 20 balls, including two sixes. In the second innings, he scored a half -century in just 20 balls, in which three brilliant sixes hit.
Some players of the CSK team were also present there and they praised Urvil’s batting. Even before this, Urvil has become a part of a trial of CSK, but at that time Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre got a place in the team.
Urvil created history in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25. He scored the fastest century in just 28 balls against Tripura in T20 cricket. In this tournament, he scored a total of 315 runs in six matches and his strike rate was 229.92. Despite this, no IPL team has signed them yet.
He has previously played IPL for Gujarat Titans (GT), but he has not received any team so far this season.
Aman Khan- Salman Nizar also got a chance
Aman Khan of Mumbai, who has previously played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC), also hit two sixes showing his hitting in the trial. At the same time, Salman Nizar has not yet made her debut in the IPL, but in the Ranji Trophy, Kerala performed brilliantly.
Now the next CSK will be clashed with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on 3 May.
