Delhi: Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is known as a legendary wicketkeeper-batsman in the cricket world, recently visited the famous Deori Maa temple in Ranchi. Before the start of IPL 2025, Dhoni paid a visit to Goddess Durga, who is also worshiped as Kali, at this holy temple.

Dhoni reached Deori Maa temple

Deori Maa Temple is marked by the ancient eight-handed idol of Goddess Durga, which reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Bhumij-Munda community. This temple is famous for its historicity and religious importance.

The former captain was seen worshiping in the temple of Mata. Chunni was also seen in his hand which is offered to the Goddess. He was seen coming and going from the temple under police protection. During this, Mahi’s childhood friend Seemant Lohia alias Chittu was also seen.

Dhoni is often seen offering prayers at Deori Maa temple. Even after winning the 2011 ICC World Cup, the former Indian captain had visited the Mother Goddess and taken blessings.

Dhoni, who will be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025, is often known for his simplicity and religious faith. His presence as the captain of the five-time champion CSK team will make this season even more special.
