Delhi: In the match played in Lucknow between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), there was a debate over the runout on non-strayer end once again. At a significant turn of the match, LSG bowler Digvesh Rathi saw that RCB captain Jitesh was out of the crease, then he dropped the bulls after bowling. But the third umpire said that the runout is not valid as the bowlers had completed their delivery strid.
Rishabh Pant withdrew appeal
After this, everyone was surprised when LSG captain Rishabh Pant withdrew the appeal. The commentators praised Pant’s sportsmanship, but this decision was not liked by everyone. Especially Team India’s senior spinner Ravichandran Ashwin openly criticized this decision.
Ashwin criticized Pant
In his show ‘Ash Ki Baat’, Ashwin said that the captain’s job is to support his bowler, not to make him feel small in front of everyone. He said, “The captain’s job is to support his player. If the appeal was to be withdrawn, it should have been decided in advance. It is not right to degrade a young bowler in front of crores of people.”

“The bowler is insulted”
Ashwin further said that such incidents scare the bowlers forever. He said, “Digvesh Rathi is not a relative of mine, I do not even know him. But from the perspective of a bowler, I am saying this. If you humiliate him like this, he will never dare to do so again.”
“It is not a matter of rules, it is a matter of justice”
Ashwin said that this issue should not only be seen with sportsmanship, but should also think that the batsman steals runs every time the crease.
