Delhi: Cricket fans are currently getting a chance to enjoy the Test format to the fullest, because the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is being organized in Australia. Apart from this, a three-match Test series is also going on between the teams of New Zealand and England. On the other hand, the England women’s cricket team is currently on a tour of South Africa, which will conclude with the Test match to be held in Bloemfontein from December 15. In this historic match, both the teams will not get a chance to use DRS, and an important reason behind this has come to light.
Rain did not give Pakistan a chance to save honor in the third T20I match, South Africa won the series 2-0.
There will be only one Test match between the women’s teams of South Africa and England, and this match has special significance for South Africa. In fact, after 22 years a women’s test match will be played on South African soil. The last time a Test match was played here was in 2002. However, even in this historic match, there will be no DRS facility, which seems a bit strange in the present times.
England captain Heather Knight got this information just a day before the start of the match, due to which she was disappointed. In the press conference he said that there should be equality in sports. Giving an example, he said that just as DRS is used in men’s test matches, similarly it should be implemented in women’s test matches also.
It is noteworthy that it will not be used in this four-day test match, because this technology is expensive. For this reason, Cricket South Africa has taken this decision, which is a bit surprising.
