Delhi: Former Australian fast bowler and coach Jason Gillespi has recently talked about his coaching experience with the Pakistan cricket team in an interview. He admitted that the experience of working with Pakistan was mentally tired for him and this reduced his love for coaching.

Gillypie said, “I say honestly that coaching with Pakistan has reduced my love for coaching. However, I am confident that over time I will get it back. It was a big shock for me and I am very disappointed that the way this journey ended, I have forced me to think if I really want to be a full -time coach again.”

He further said, “This experience was mentally tired for me. If Australia also offered me coaching now, I would say – not now. Currently I have no interest in full -time coaching.”

It is noteworthy that Jason Gillespie was the head coach of Pakistan’s red ball team for some time. Later, after leaving the post of Gary Kirsten, he was also made the interim coach of the white ball team.

However, Gillespie also resigned from this role, after which PCB appointed Aqib Javed as interim head coach.
