ENG vs IND: Bumrah in fourth Test to secure another victory for India

Delhi: Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will once again take the field in the fourth Test starting in Old Trafford from 23 July. His return has been confirmed by fellow bowler Mohammad Siraj. Bumrah performed brilliantly in the third Test, but after the match there was speculation that the team management could give him rest and he would not play the fourth Test. However, it is now clear that Bumrah is available for the fourth Test.

Siraj gave information about playing Bumrah

Siraj said in the press conference before the match, “Jassi will play Bhai. I know this much.” He also said that there are changes about team combination, so it is important to maintain patience.

On Monday, Bumrah performed a long bowling session in the nets. He looked completely comfortable. After this, he also inspected the pitch with coach Gautam Gambhir. The pitch looked a little moist due to rain.

Team India is already struggling with the injury of many players. In such a situation, it is a relief for Bumrah’s return team. At the beginning of the day, BCCI said that Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the Test series due to knee injury. Arshdeep Singh will also not be available for the fourth Test.

Fast bowler Akash Deep also has a groin injury. He bowled for a limited time. Physio is investigating him under the supervision of bowling coach Morne Morkel. According to team sources, Akash Deep will probably miss this test.

Bumrah participated in the first and third Tests of the series. There was first doubt about his playing in the fourth match, as the team management said that he would play only three Tests. But, India is currently 2–1 in the series and has not won any Test in Old Trafford so far. In such a situation, Bumrah’s presence is very important for the team.
