Talking to BBC, he said that the ball will be thoroughly investigated. In this, every process will be seen again from raw materials to leather tanning.
He said, “We will take back these balls and examine it well. Then we will talk to the tanner and other suppliers. If there is a need for improvement, then we will definitely change.”
Dux ball is getting criticized
Dux Ball has been a victim of criticism for some time. Many bowlers say that the ball becomes soft within 30 overs, which affects swing and seam movement. Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad has also expressed concern over the issue. He believes that the pace of the match also deteriorates by changing the ball repeatedly.
For this reason, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has decided that whatever dux balls used by the end of this week, they will be gathered and sent back to the manufacturer. This will help in investigation.
