Delhi: In the second match of the five matches being played between India and England in Edgbaston, Team India captain Shubman Gill made history by scoring a century in both innings. His brilliant innings not only strengthened the position of India, but also broke many records.

India created new history – 1000 runs in a Test for the first time

India achieved a historic achievement in Test cricket due to brilliant batting in both innings of Shubman Gill. For the first time, India has scored 1000 runs in a Test match, including both innings. Earlier, India scored the most runs in Tests against Australia in 2004, when they scored a total of 916 runs in a match.

In this Test match, India declared their second innings at 427/6 and gave England a target of 608 runs to win.
