Delhi: For the first time in the history of Pakistan cricket, a woman has been entrusted with the responsibility of the operations manager of the men’s team. Security and Operations Specialist Police Officer Hina Munawar has been appointed as the operation manager of Pakistan Mains Cricket Team before the ICC Champions Trophy. His appointment will be effective from February 8, when a triangular ODI series between Pakistan, South Africa and New Zealand will be played.

Hina Munawar has served in many security roles after passing the Civil Superior Services Examination. A source close to the PCB said that Hina has been appointed with the aim of streamlining operations between the team and the board, as he has a strategic and leadership role experience.

Hina joined the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) last year and was made the manager of the Pakistan Women’s Under-19 team during the Asia Cup.

It is believed that he has been brought to the board on contract by PCB President Mohsin Naqvi, as he is still associated with the Pakistan Police Service. The goal of PCB is to make the team management more organized and efficient.
