Former England batsman claims: India’s victories rely on Bumrah.

Delhi: Former England veteran batsman Alan Lamb believes that India will have to depend a lot on their star fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah to win Test matches. He said that on the basis of Bumrah’s talent, India is capable of defeating any team in 50 overs format. According to him, Team India will not win the match without Bumrah.

‘Kohli will miss, IPL changed the direction of cricket’

Lamb, 71, said that Virat Kohli’s absence in Test cricket will be a big challenge for India. At the same time, he praised the Indian Premier League (IPL) fiercely and said that this league has changed the lives of not only Indian cricket but the cricketers from all over the world.

Lamb said, “IPL has given a new direction to cricket. It is incredible to see the young player of 15-16 years like Vaibhav Suryavanshi moving forward and making his identity. India’s cricket is constantly progressing and this country will always be at the top of this game.”

Unhappy with ICC about Test cricket

Lamb questioned the policies regarding the Test cricket of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He said that in today’s era, there is no need for players to play Tests. They can earn well by joining the T20 leagues of different countries.

He said, “There was not much money in our time, but now the players are entitled to millions of dollars. It is a good thing for him.”

India should win every competition in ODIs

Talking on ODI cricket, Allen Lamb said that the Indian team has so much depth and talent that it should win in every one -day tournament. He said, “India has a great player and in ODIs he has the ability to defeat any team.”
