Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah once again proved that he is one of the best bowlers in the world. His brilliant bowling caught everyone’s attention in India’s 295-run victory in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Former England captain Nasser Hussain said that he was happy that he did not have to face Bumrah during his playing time.

Bumrah is a bowler so he is not talked about much.
Nasir Hussain told that before the match he was wondering why Bumrah was not being discussed as much as it should be. He said, “I saw that Bumrah was not being discussed much during the press conference. All the talk was about Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma’s absence, the balance of the Indian team and Steve Smith. Maybe because he is a bowler and there is more focus on the batsmen.”
Bumrah’s Test career average is 20.06, which is the second best among bowlers who have taken at least 150 wickets. Nasir Hussain said, “Bumrah is counted among great bowlers like Sydney Barnes. He is the best all-format bowler in the world.”
Bumrah led the team to victory
In the Perth Test, India was restricted to just 150 runs in the first innings. But captain Bumrah brought the team back into the match with his brilliant bowling. He bowled out Australia for just 104 runs with figures of 5/30. After this, centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli, and 201-run partnership between KL Rahul and Jaiswal helped India set a huge target of 534 runs. In the second innings, Bumrah took three more wickets and Australia was all out for 238 runs.
