Delhi: Indian cricket team’s great batsman Sunil Gavaskar has warned of legal action against a website publishing false articles in his name. The website ‘Cricket Sensation’ published an article in the name of Gavaskar, which said that “Bumrah’s captaincy and Kohli’s leadership style revive Team India.” However, Gavaskar termed this article as completely fake and clarified that he has not written anything like that.

Record Alert: Something happened in the Perth Test, which was never seen in 72 years!

On Saturday, November 23, on the second day of the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth, Gavaskar reacted on Instagram. “Don’t believe everything you see on the internet,” he wrote. Let us tell you that at present Gavaskar is contracted with a major broadcaster channel for the coverage of the trophy.

Earlier, Gavaskar had suggested that if Rohit Sharma does not play the opening Test, Jasprit Bumrah should be made the captain for the entire Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He had said that there is a need to unite the team after the 3-0 defeat against New Zealand.

Gavaskar had said, “If Rohit does not play the first two Tests, then the team should appoint a permanent captain. The vice-captain should be given the responsibility of the entire series.” However, former Australian player Aaron Finch disagreed with him. Finch said, “Rohit Sharma is the captain of the team. It is absolutely right to take time for special moments like becoming a father.”

Gavaskar’s opinion and Finch’s disagreement have further increased the discussion in the cricket world.
