Delhi: Giostar and Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI) has announced a significant partnership over India’s broadcast rights for England tours of 2025 and 2026. Under this, all matches (Tests, ODIs and T20 Internationals) will be digital broadcast exclusively on geographist, while TV viewers will be able to enjoy these exciting matches on Sony Entertainment Television channels.
The partnership will begin with the Test series to be held from 20 June 2025, with India and England face to face. This step has been taken at a time when Geiographs already have digital streaming rights of big cricket events like ICC Tournaments, IPL and Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Expressing happiness over this partnership, Giostar CEO Sanjog Gupta said, “This cooperation is a profitable deal for all stakeholders – especially Indian cricket lovers – and also strengthens a comprehensive sports scenario. With the comprehensive digital reach of Geographist and SPNI’s powerful broadcast network will now be more comprehensive.
Gaurav Banerjee, MD and CEO of SPNI, said, “This partnership with the strength of Sony TV network and digital capabilities of Geostar is a new direction to cricket coverage. We thank our partner England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).”
