Gill-Rahul gets chances, why not Karun not?

Delhi: Before the fourth Test against England, the discussion about Team India’s playing XI has intensified. Everyone’s eyes are on players like Karun Nair, B Sai Sudarshan and Kuldeep Yadav. Karun Nair has not yet met expectations and is under pressure to save his place. At the same time, Kuldeep Yadav, who is considered a wicket -taking spinner, has not been able to play a single match in this series till now.

B Sai Sudarshan made her debut in the first match of the series, but after that he was dropped. India is currently 2–1 in the five-match series and the team struggling with injuries will now have to take some tough decisions in compulsion so that they can match the series.

Karun Nair returned to Team India after eight years due to good performance in domestic cricket. But, on this England tour, he has scored just 131 runs in six innings, in which it was also dismissed for zero.

Harbhajan Singh came to the rescue of Karun

Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh believes that Karun Nair should get another chance in the Old Trafford Test. He said that even though Nair’s performance has not been special yet, if the team is giving him the first opportunity, then trust should still be maintained.

Giving the example of Shubman Gill and KL Rahul, Harbhajan said that when the rest of the players are given 5-6 opportunities, what crime did Karun Nair or Sai Sudarshan committed them which are being removed again and again.

The veteran spinner said on his YouTube channel, “It is true that Karun has not scored yet. But, he is a good player. Every player should get a chance to equal. When Gill and Rahul get opportunities, the same criteria should be applied to Nair and Sudarshan.”

A change advice for Manchester Test

Harbhajan Singh also suggested that India should include Kuldeep Yadav in the team for the fourth Test. This match will be played in Old Trafford from Wednesday and Team India will have to trust their most influential players to win.
