Glenn Maxwell’s costly error in CSK match led to BCCI fine:

The best match of IPL 2025 was played between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings on 8 April. Punjab Kings won this match. All the players from Punjab Kings performed brilliantly and played an important role in their team’s victory. However, Dhakad all -rounder Glenn Maxwell could not leave his mark with batting against Chennai Super Kings and was dismissed for a run.

Glenn Maxwell also blowed a wicket for 11 runs in two overs. However, after the end of the match, the experienced all -rounder has suffered a major setback. Glenn Maxwell has been fined 25 percent of the match fees for violation of the IPL code of conduct during the match against Chennai Super Kings. Not only this, a demerit point has also been added to the account in Maxwell. Maxwell has accepted Level-1 crime, due to which there is no need for official hearing in this case.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said, Punjab Kings all -rounder Glenn Maxwell has been fined 25 percent of the match fees due to violation of the IPL code of conduct and has also given a demerit points. Maxwell admitted the fine imposed by Level-1 crime and match referee under Section 2.2. The decision of the match referee for Level-1 crime is final.

Glenn Maxwell has not been able to leave his mark in IPL 2025 so far from Punjab Kings

Glenn Maxwell has not been able to score a big score from Punjab Kings in the season so far. The players of the Punjab Kings team have performed brilliantly, but Maxwell has so far neither bats up aggressive nor excellent bowling in this season. Talking about Punjab Kings, they have played four matches in this season so far, out of which the team has won 3 while they have lost in one.

In the match played against Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings scored 219 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs, in response to which Chennai Super Kings were able to score 201 runs. Punjab Kings now have to play their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The match will be played on 12 April.
