Great news for GT: Two lethal players set to join the team!

The remaining season of IPL 2025 will now be played from 17 May. The BCCI announced the revised schedule on Monday night, whose finals are to be played on 3 June. Meanwhile, big news related to Gujarat Titans Camp has come out. The franchise’s two star players Jose Butler and Gerald Koetzi will join the team on 14 May.

Let us tell you that on May 9, the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Dharamshala was stopped due to security reasons. And then the BCCI suspended the entire tournament for a week. At the same time, players and employees trapped in Dharamshala were brought back to Delhi by special train.

Now the league is being resumed after the declaration of ceasefire. Amidst all this, Gujarat Titans were the first team to start training again, which held a three -hour entire session on May 10 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Butler and Koetzi will join the team

GT’s batsman Butler and Gerald Koetzi were only two foreign players returning home during the tournament suspension. After the return of both of them on May 14, the entire foreign party of GT will be available for the remaining tournament. Other foreign players like Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Sherfen Rutherford and Karim Janat lived in India during suspension.

However, Sherfen Rutherford’s availability for the playoffs is uncertain, as she has been selected in the West Indies team for the ODI series to be held in England from May 29 to June 3, whose dates match the IPL playoffs. The Gujarat Titans team is currently at the top of the IPL 2025 marks with 16 points in 11 matches and is in a strong position to make it to the playoffs.
