Delhi: The 51st match will be played between the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Prior to this match, Gujarat Titans cricket director Vikram Solanki has given a big update on the injury of captain Shubman Gill. He told that Gill’s back muscles are stretched, but they are slowly recovering.
What is Gill’s fitness update?
Solanki said that Gill will train on the nets before the match against Hyderabad and only then his fitness will be assessed correctly. He said, “Gill has a little stretch in his back. We are taking vigilance. He will train today and we will see how his situation is. We are confident that he will be fine soon.”
Significantly, Gill did not land in the match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur on 28 April. Ishant Sharma was sent to the field in his place. Rashid Khan captained the team in that match.
In the same match, 14 -year -old young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century in 35 balls while playing a bang innings and won Rajasthan. He has become the youngest player to score a century in IPL. He is also the batsman to score the fastest century after Chris Gayle. Gayle scored a century in 30 balls in 2013.
Solanki praised Suryavanshi and said, “He showed a very brilliant game. We should not snatch any credit from that young player. His innings has not put any pressure on the team.”
The team of Gujarat Titans is currently fourth in the points table. The team has won 6 out of 9 matches and has 12 points. She can reach the second place after winning against Hyderabad.
