Delhi: Gujarat Titans won the second consecutive win in IPL 2025, when on 2 April he defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by eight wickets. But, now a big news has come about the team. Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has left IPL 2025 in the middle and returned to South Africa for personal reasons.

Rabada played the first two matches for the Gujarat Titans, but he did not land against RCB. During the toss, captain Shubman Gill had told that he is not playing in this match due to personal reasons. However, it is not clear yet how long he will return and how many matches will be missed. The next match of Gujarat is against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 6 April.

Gujarat Titans issued a statement saying, “Kagiso Rabada has returned to South Africa to resolve an essential home issue.” It is believed that he has gone for some family reasons, but his return date is not fixed. Rabada took two wickets after playing two matches this season. He was an important bowler of the team and was playing responsibility with the new ball.

Rabada’s IPL price and performance

Gujarat Titans bought Rabada in mega auction for Rs 10.75 crore. Earlier, he was playing for Punjab Kings, who bought him for Rs 9.25 crore. For Punjab, he took 41 wickets in three seasons from 2022 to 2024.

Rabada started his IPL career in 2017 from Delhi Capitals and played there till 2021. He took a total of 76 wickets for Delhi and bought him by the franchise for Rs 4.20 crore.

Now it has to be seen how much of the Gujarat Titans disrupts their deficiency and how long they come back.
