Ever since the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the new uncapped rule of IPL on September 28, there has been a lot of discussion in the cricket world regarding this rule.

According to the new IPL guidelines, any player who played his last match five years ago can register himself as an uncapped player in the tournament. Teams will be able to retain such a player for Rs 4 crore.

After the introduction of this rule, the discussion intensified that BCCI wants to help Chennai Super Kings (CSK) so that they can retain former team captain MS Dhoni.

It is noteworthy that Dhoni had said about playing in the upcoming season of IPL that his decision will depend on what policy the board makes regarding this. But now that he has registered himself as an uncapped player, the door is wide open for him to play in the next IPL season.

On the other hand, now reacting to this, a big statement from former spin legend Harbhajan Singh has come out. Harbhajan says it is a bit strange for him, because the two-time world champion has registered himself as an uncapped player.

Harbhajan Singh gave a big statement

Let us tell you that while talking exclusively to Crictracker, the media partner of the third season of the ongoing Legends League cricket, Harbhajan said – Dhoni is immortal and he will play as long as he wants to play. Now after the new rule he is an uncapped player. Two-time world champion, but now he is uncapped. Whatever I say about this will be controversial.

Harbhajan further said- Anyway, I think this rule does not apply only to Dhoni. There are a lot of players, some who have retired and they may come back. They can register again. Harbhaj further said laughingly – I am one of the possible people to register.
