The record of hitting the most sixes in the history of Champions Trophy is currently named after former India captain Sourav Ganguly. Ganguly played his last Champions Trophy match in 2004 and scored 665 runs in 11 innings of 13 matches, including 17 sixes.

Now Pandya has reached very close to this record. He has hit 15 sixes in only 6 innings of only 9 matches. That is, he can now break Ganguly’s 20 -year -old record with just 3 sixes and can become the highest sixes batsman in Champions Trophy history.
