Delhi: Vidarbha’s left-arm spinner Harsha Dubey broke the record against Kerala in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy final. He set the record for the most wickets in a season. The match was played at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur on Friday.
Most wickets in a session
Dubey achieved this feat by bowling in other innings. When Vidarbha gave Kerala a chance to play by scoring 379 runs, Dubey dismissed Nidhish MD as the third wicket, which completed his record. Earlier, Dubey dismissed Aditya Sarvate (79) in the morning session and bowled Salman Nizhar before lunch.
Ashutosh Aman’s broken record
Dubey broke the record of Ashutosh Aman of Bihar, who took 68 wickets in the 2018-19 Ranji season. While Aman’s wickets came in the plate group, Dubey has achieved this success on challenging pitches in Elite Group.
