Delhi: 22 year old young fast bowler Harshit Rana has seen ups and downs since his debut in Indian Test cricket. In his debut match in Perth, he performed brilliantly and took three wickets in the first innings. He sent Travis Head, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon to the pavilion. Apart from this, he impressed everyone with the figures of 4/44 in the practice match also. But, Harshit’s performance in the day-night test played in Adelaide was very disappointing. While bowling with pink ball, he could not take any wicket for 86 runs.

Father’s challenge to Harshit
Harshit’s father Pradeep Rana, who has been a hammer thrower and weightlifter in CRPF, has given a direct challenge to his son. He said, “I have told him to bowl at a speed of 150 km/hour. The day you do this, I will consider you a player. If you bowl at 125 km/hr, even the local club will not select you.”
Harshit has time and opportunity
Harshit is just 22 years old. Both his strength and speed will increase with age. But, he knows that the competition is tough. Players like Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan are also ready to make their place in Test cricket. Harshit has all the qualities to become a fast bowler.
Brisbane Test: chance or last test?
The third Test of the series will now be played in Brisbane, where India will play the traditional Test match with red ball. However, it is not certain that Harshit will be in the playing eleven. His place is under threat due to the return of Mohammed Shami and the presence of Akash Deep.
