Siraj-head’s heat in Adelaide Test
During the second test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, Travis Head hit a six off Siraj. After this, Siraj bowled the head by throwing an excellent yorker. After this wicket, Siraj celebrated fiercely and there was a heated argument between the two on the field. During the argument, Siraj pointed towards the dressing room, to which the head retorted.
After this, Siraj had to face booing from the Adelaide audience during the entire match. However, among those criticizing Siraj for his aggression, Josh Hazlewood came out in his support.
Hazlewood praised Siraj
After his fitness test on Monday, Hazlewood said, “Siraj is fantastic. I have spent time with him at RCB and enjoyed playing with him. He is the leader of the team’s attack. He is very enthusiastic like Virat. He reacts according to the situation of the match, brings the crowd along. He has bowled excellent spells in the IPL in the last few years. He is a good character and it is good to see his energy on the field.”
Hazlewood ready to return to Gabba Test
Josh Hazlewood, who could not play in the Adelaide Test due to side strain, may now be available for the third Test. On Monday, he bowled long in the fitness test. A decision will be taken on his playing in the Gabba Test on Tuesday. In the absence of Hazlewood, Scott Boland got a chance to play, who performed brilliantly and took 5 wickets for 105 runs in the match.
