Delhi: Former Australian batsman and coach Justin Langer has compared Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah with legendary bowler Wasim Akram. Before the Boxing Day Test, Langer praised Bumrah and said that it is very difficult for any batsman to face him.

Australia announced the team for the last two matches against India, 19 year old player will debut

bumrah special performance

Bumrah has performed brilliantly so far in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He has taken 21 wickets in three test matches. His ability to seam and swing the new ball is proving to be very beneficial for the Indian team. Bumrah has given important wickets to the team when needed.

‘He is like Wasim Akram’

Justin Langer said on December 19, “I never like facing Bumrah. He is like Wasim Akram. According to me, he is the right-handed version of Wasim Akram. Whenever I am asked who is the most dangerous bowler I have ever seen, my answer is always Wasim Akram.”

‘Difficult to face them’

The former batsman said, “Bumrah has good pace and he consistently bowls at the right places. His bouncer is also excellent, which creates problems for the batsmen. He has the ability to swing the ball in both directions and his seam is absolutely accurate. “That is why it is so difficult to face them.”

He further said, “If Bumrah remains fit, this season will be very difficult for the Australian batsmen. But, if he does not remain fit, it will be easy for Australia to win this series.”

India and Australia will enter the Melbourne Test with a draw of 1-1. In the last decade, India has performed well in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and created history by winning two overseas tours against Australia.
