Coach Gautam Gambhir said after winning the third ODI, “Rahul is currently our number one wicketkeeper. Pant will also get a chance, but Rahul is doing well right now. We cannot play with two wicketkeepers-batsmen. ” He defended his decision to give Akshar Patel a chance in the first two matches and said that the interests of the team always come before personal performance.
