Delhi: The incident of theft has come to light in the bungalow in Lonavala, wife of former captain of Indian cricket team Mohammad Azharuddin and actress Sangeeta Bijlani. The thieves not only stole cash and goods, but have also damaged the property of the house.

According to the police, the incident took place from 7 July to 18 July when the bungalow was vacant. This bungalow is located in Tikona Peth area of Maval Taluka in Pune district. On Saturday, the police informed that the thieves made a way to enter the wall from the back of the bungalow and enter the wall. They climbed up to the gallery of the first destination, broke the window grill and entered inside the house.

Thieves stole a cash of 50 thousand rupees and a TV of about 70 thousand rupees from the bungalow. Apart from this, there was deliberate vandalism inside the house. Police believe that the purpose of the thieves was not only theft, but also to harm.

Personal Assistant Mohammad Mujib Khan of Azharuddin lodged a complaint at the police station on 19 July. On this, the Lonavala Rural Police has registered a case against unknown accused under Section 331 (3), 331 (4), 305 (A), 324 (4), and 324 (5) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).

At present, the police is busy in the investigation by collecting CCTV footage and forensic evidence. Investigation is going on at the scene and an attempt is being made to identify the accused.
