Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) explosive batsman Nicholas Puran has rocked his aggressive batting in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He proved the ability to hit his six by putting 13 sixes in just two matches. The 29 -year -old batsman scored a stormy innings of 70 runs in 26 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and helped LSG to achieve the target of 191 runs easily.
According to Puran, the real strength of his batting is his timing, not his physical strength. In a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, he said, “I don’t plan to hit sixes. I just try to bring myself into the right position and play shot at the right time. I have been working on my skill for the last nine years.”
He also told that in the powerplay, he is getting a chance to bat above, which he tries to take full advantage.
Chasing the target against Sunrisers Hyderabad, when Mohammed Shami dismissed Eden Markram early, Puran came to bat on the 10th ball. He hit the first ball and hit two brilliant sixes in the third over of Simarjit Singh. By the end of the powerplay, he scored 44 runs in 16 balls with the help of four fours and four sixes.
Puran completed his half -century in just 18 balls, which was the third fastest half -century of this season. In front of his aggressive batting, the bowlers of the Sunrisers team appeared helpless.
