CSK has bought the young bowler for a base price of Rs 30 lakh.
Young Indian fast bowler Kamlesh Nagarkoti was left unsold in IPL 2024. However, in the IPL 2025 mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia last month, the bowler was bought by five-time champions Chennai Super Kings for a base price of Rs 30 lakh. So now he has given a big statement regarding joining CSK.
It is noteworthy that in the Under-19 World Cup held in the year 2018, Nagarkoti came into the limelight due to his continuous bowling at a speed of more than 145 kilometers per hour. So this season, the bowling of the young player also contributed significantly in making Team India the champion.
After this, in the IPL 2018 auction, Kolkata Knight Riders signed the young bowler by paying a huge amount of Rs 3.20 crore. However, injury did not leave Nagarkoti and he could not play much of the tournament.
Till the time of writing the news, he has played only 12 IPL matches, in which he has taken only five wickets. He was last seen playing for Delhi Capitals against Mumbai Indians in March 2022. However, now he is going to be seen playing for CSK in the 18th season of IPL.
