Delhi: South African veteran fast bowler Kagiso Rabada recently came into the limelight when he faced a month’s ban for the consumption of entertaining drugs during the SA20 2025. Talking about this suspension, Rabada admitted his mistake and said that he had left the incident behind.
It is worth noting that Rabada, who was playing for the Gujarat Titans (GT) in 2025, was thrown out of the team due to suspension and sent back home due to suspension. After completing the ban, he joined the team again. However, he played two matches for Titans, but could not take any wickets.
In a conversation with Sportskeeda, Rabada said, “I am just happy to play again. This process was handled well. As a player and a human being, people will have their opinion. I can live with him. Some people will be disappointed and I will be disappointed and I apologize to those people. People who are closest to me, I think I disappointed them.”
He further said, “But life keeps going. I will never be a ‘person who apologizes on everything, but I will never justify that action.”
Apart from this, Rabada also told that he is talking to his colleagues about this and will talk openly on this issue in the coming days. He said, “I think I am a loan to tell him (about this). They are my partners. We have come together far ahead. I have already talked to him and when we meet more time together, we will talk in detail.”
It is noteworthy that Rabada is now going to lead South Africa fast in the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final against Australia. The match will start from June 11 at Lord’s.
