Delhi: The final match of the third edition of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) will be played between South Africa and Australia on the historic ground in Lord’s from June 11. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a prize money for this prestigious match.
According to the ICC, the final winning team will be provided a prize money of about Rs 30 crore (US $ 3.6 million), while the runner -up will get $ 2.16 million (about Rs 18 crore).
South Africa and Australia will have a title collision
South Africa and Australia will face face to face in the final of WTC. The Protiaz team defeated Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and topped the WTC 2025 points table. He had drawn a domestic series against India.
On the other hand, Australia has confirmed its place in the final by registering a 3–1 win in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India.
ICC President Jai Shah greeted the two teams, calling this final a ‘true festival of cricket’. On the other hand, South African captain Temba Bavuma described it as a big opportunity to win the ICC title. At the same time, Australian captain Pat Cummins said to defend the title at Lord’s.
